On Monday, June 15, the City Council unanimously approved funding Semi-Annual Neighborhood Matching Fund Projects as recommended by the Citywide Review Team and myself. Your Public Art in the Pike Place Market project was awarded $35,740.00.
Congratulations on your award!
Your project is a good example of how neighborhood self-help, coupled with City resources, can result in improvements that provide a wonderful benefit to the community. Citizen involvement is key to making government work for you and your neighbors, so I am glad that we are able to reward your activism with this Semi-Annual Projects award.
The Deparrment of Neighborhoods is eager to work with your organization to ensure that this project is a complete success. To that end, I have included a letter from the Department which outlines the next steps in this process and identifies the project manager assigned to work with your group. Please take advantage of any assistance they can provide.
Best wishes to your organization for a successful project. I look forward to seeing the results,
Very truly yours,
Paul Schell
